John Johnson National Pork Board Chief Operating Officer
John Johnson is responsible for providing strategic support to the Chief Executive Officer, overseeing organizational goal-setting and accountability measurements and facilitating cross-departmental coordination. Johnson also is responsible for directing high-level, cross-functional projects that require engagement and direction from the Board of Directors at the National Pork Board or the senior management team.
Peggy and Brad Greenway South Dakota Pig Farmers America’s Pig Farmer of the Year
Brad and Peggy Greenway are pig farmers from Mitchell, South Dakota. The Greenways have focused on doing what’s right for people, pigs and the planet on their family farm for the last 40 years. They own two wean-to-finish pig barns. They also raise beef cattle and grow corn, soybeans, wheat and alfalfa.
Brad is also the recipient of the 2016 America’s Pig Farmer of the Year℠ Award. The award is designed to recognize a pig farmer who excels at raising pigs using the We Care℠ ethical principles and connects with today’s consumers about how pork is produced.
Dr. Michelle Sprague AMVC Veterinary Services Veterinarian and Partner
Dr. Michelle Sprague is a veterinarian and partner at AMVC Management Services in Audubon, Iowa. Dr. Sprague is a past president of the American Association of Swine Veterinarians (AASV) and serves on the AASV and AVMA Animal Welfare Committees, NPB Industry Audit Task Force and several other professional and industry committees. She also enjoys running, cheering on the Cyclones and tending to her hobby cow/calf herd.
